Tri-Cities, Washington

Books,
community,
and a glass of
something good.

Folklore Society is a nonprofit that brings the bar to the bookshelf. Find us at literary events across the Tri-Cities — pouring drinks and adding that extra touch that makes a great event truly memorable.

The best conversations start with a book and end with another round.

Licensed bar service

We hold WSLCB Special Occasion Licenses so we can legally serve beer, wine, and cocktails at literary events. When the community gathers, we make sure there's something in your glass.

02

Find us at events

We show up at book releases, readings, and community gatherings across the Tri-Cities. We're not the organizers — we're the ones who bring the drinks and add that extra touch that turns a great event into a memorable one.

Supporting local

Our proceeds support the local literary community — the authors, independent bookstores, and organizations putting books in the hands of Tri-Cities readers.

We'll be on hand pouring beer and wine at this spring release event in the Tri-Cities. Come celebrate local authors and pick up something new to read.

"We're not the event planners — we're the ones who make sure there's something worth drinking while you celebrate a great book."

Folklore Society was founded in 2026 to fill a specific and important role in the Tri-Cities literary community: licensed, responsible beverage service at the events that bring readers and writers together.

We partner with local bookstores and event organizers to show up where the community gathers — pouring drinks and adding that extra touch that makes every literary event one worth staying late for.

We're organized as a Washington nonprofit corporation and are pursuing federal 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status. Our proceeds go back into supporting the local literary community.
